Lyon Airport announces the appointment of Pierre Grosmaire as its new Commercial and Marketing Director

Aéroports de Lyon (Lyon Airports) is pleased to announce the appointment of Pierre Grosmaire as its new Commercial and Marketing Director, having taken office at the start of September. Pierre will be in charge of developing Aéroports de Lyon’s aviation offer, based in a catchment area of 12 million people within two hours of the airports as well as increasing revenue streams and spearheading passenger experience improvements. Pierre joins Aéroports de Lyon at a crucial time: the recent opening of the new Terminal 1 as well as record passenger numbers (10 million) through Lyon Airport terminals and newly-announced destinations and airlines serving Lyon Saint-Exupéry Airport.

Prior to transferring to Aéroports de Lyon, Pierre was the Aviation Marketing Director for VINCI Airports for 11 years, the holding group for Aéroports de Lyon. In this role, he was responsible for the development of 44 airports within the VINCI Airports group such as: Lisbon, Porto, Faro, Santiago de Chile, Salvador de Bahia, Kansai airports, Phnom Penh and Santo Domingo, Lyon, Grenoble, Chambéry, Clermont-Ferrand, Quimper, Rennes, Dinart, Nantes, Poitiers, Toulon, and therefore dealt with more than 200 airlines. He also held the position of Marketing Director at Grenoble et Chambéry in France for 2 years from 2004 to 2006 when VINCI Airports started its operations in France. Pierre was responsible for Network Development and the creation of a route development fund with collaboration with both public and private entities.

Aéroports de Lyon is indeed a passion for Pierre, he was the Market Research Manager at Lyon Airports from 2000 to 2003, in charge of statistics, forecasting, research and analysis. Pierre graduated from the National School of Civil Aviation and specialized in airport and airline management at the Florida Institute of Technology in the years 1999-2000.
